Leadership doesn’t happen overnight, it is an on-going process which continues throughout a person’s career. That’s why it’s important for students to have the opportunity to learn the basic principles early on, have the space to experiment and have fun whilst applying them!

The career for life is a thing of the past. Whilst no-one can predict where the growth sectors will be in 15 years, we can prepare young people with skills that will enable them to thrive in increasingly competitive markets. Our employability workshops get students to think about what those skills are and how they can start developing them now!

Some students need a little more guidance to figure out what they really want to do. On top of this is the pressure that students need more than a degree if they are to stand out competitively amongst their peers. Our 1 to 1 sessions help students make the right choices for them and what opportunities there are at school and university to build the other skills employers seek.

ALEXANDER FIRMIN
ALEXANDER FIRMIN
Lead Trainer
Alex is a leadership consultant and trainer. As a British Army officer he undertook several tours of Afghanistan, and worked to establish the first Afghan officer training academy, “Sandhurst in the Sand”, in Kabul. In 2013 Alex joined Chapel House to pursue a more diverse career in leadership development. Over the past two years Alex has delivered training projects for Pearson, Zain Bahrain, BT, and several UK Universities.
Sophie Brigden

Director
Sophie is a consultant and trainer specialising in leadership and employability development. As an army officer she led soldiers, designed and delivered cultural and language training in Afghanistan and designed a course now taught at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. On leaving the Army Sophie designed leadership and employability training for both the HE and FE before establishing her business. She continues to work as an army reservist.
Michelle Pitchers
Michelle Pitchers
Trainer
Michelle Pitchers is a Specialist in Leadership, Teamwork and Organisational Development with over 18 years of experience in the Military, Education, Public and Corporate Sectors. Michelle has designed training specialising in leadership as a female and cultural awareness, having led civil military liaison teams in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Beyond designing and delivering training she continues to serve in the RAF Reserves and is a university student counsellor.
